By the time I was a teenager, I was already devouring American TV shows and every time a big Hollywood movie came out, you would find me at the movies ready to watch. Whether it was on a TV or movie screen, my attention was always drawn to the scenes taking place outside. I wanted to discover the kinds of astounding vehicles unknown, or at least little known, to Europe.
I was struck by a passion for America and its muscular and disproportionate vehicles! I knew that someday, I too would drive a V-Twin and be behind the wheel of a big fat guzzling V8.
Years passed, my wonder stayed and my passion grew! After several Harley-Davidsons, a Ford Mustang GT, and over twenty trips to the United States, I wanted to take another step. It would be the final step that would let me live my passion beyond the limit, and share it with those who, like me, worship the two- and four-wheelers Made in the USA.
So at the start of my 60s and a voluntary pre-retirement, I decided to take the plunge and create the website Doc Fernie.
This new platform is mainly dedicated to the purchase/sale of two- or four-wheeled vehicles manufactured in or for the United States, from the most recent to the oldest brands, from the most traditional to the most technologically advanced.
You will also find sections devoted to the purchase/sale of spare parts, a list of American restaurants in Switzerland, advertisements for the many events regularly held in all regions, and surprise reports written by yours truly. Other new features will gradually appear in the coming months.
My goal is ambitious: I want to turn this new platform, which, as you may have noticed, does not include any advertising, into a reference place for the purchase/sale of US vehicles in Switzerland, under particularly favorable conditions, because it is passion that must take priority over everything else.
I truly hope that you'll enjoy browsing my website and that you'll find what you're looking for. Please contact me if you have any comments, suggestions, or questions. I would be more than happy to answer.
I love America!
